12 injured in violence at Ajay Devgan’s poll meeting in Bihar

About a dozen people, including policemen, were injured in a lathicharge on a stone-pelting crowd which grew restive due to late arrival of Bollywood actor star Ajay Devgan at a poll rally in Bihar.

According to the police, a big crowd had gathered at a ground in Biharsharif which became unmanageable and the actor who was scheduled to come at 10.30 a.m. finally came around 1 p.m.

The crowd vented ire by throwing chairs and stones on policemen resulting in lathicharge and at least a dozen people, including some policemen, were injured, said the police.

The actor, who was supposed to address the meeting for BJP candidate Sunil Kumar, finally waved at the crowd from the helicopter and did not land, the police said.
