68th AICC marks end of sessions on ‘Make in India’

VBU All India Commerce Conference (1)The 68th All India Commerce Conference hosted by Vinoba Bhave University was inaugurated by Chancellor of universities of Jharkhand Droupadi Murmu with former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, HRD. Minister of Jharkhand Neera Yadav and other dignitaries by lighting the lamp and garlanding on the portrait of saint Vinoba Bhave. The students of university department of commerce and management presented the welcome song.

Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu said “Make in India” is a great initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.It aims to give a thrust to the manufacturing sector and revive the industries from their slump and economic slowdown of the past few years.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 68th All India Commerce Conference at Vinoba Bhave University here, she said the vision was to “first develop India” by creating employment through boosting manufacturing sector and by making it cost competitive. This would then generate more demand and accelerate the growth and expansion.

Veteran BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said that they will have to make India first and only then make in India will follow it. Stressing upon the need of infrastructure development Sinha said that it will itself attract capital needed for the success of Make in India, which is necessary for Indian economy. He also advocated the idea of Swadeshi to be the backbone of this ambitious programme.

“The declining ratio of contribution of agriculture sector in countries GDP is a matter of concern because more than 60 per cent of our population is dependent on agriculture. By 2020 the average age of India will be 29 years. It is our strength and matter of concern also. So we will have to take care of our agriculture sector too with industry in the Make in India program,” Sinha added.

Jharkhand HRD Minister Neera Yadav said, “In three day long discussion you people will certainly come out with some fruitful advices for the success of PMs ambitious initiative Make in India.VC Professor Gurdeep Singh said that our country is young and Make in India with skill development is the need of the hour and hoped that it will make the nation economic power of the world.”

ICA President Jayant Kumar Parida talked about university-Industry interface and said that it is necessary for sustainable growth of the country and to harness the demographic dividend the country possess. Secretary ICA Balvinder Singh presented the annual report of the association. Organising Secretary of the conference MK Singh welcomed the dignitaries and delegates.

Make in India is necessary to make India. It was said by MoS Finance cum Local MP Jayant Sinha in the closing ceremony of 68th Indian Commerce Conference hosted by VBU Hazaribagh. He said that the dream of Make in India will become complete only by new innovations. That would make the country a world leader.

Minister of Food and Supply of Jharkhand government, Saryu Rai said that it is matter of proud for Jharkhand to organize such a wonderful conference. He said that the recommendations of this seminar must be send to Jharkhand Government as Jharkhand possess the potential to be a major player of Make in

Rai said that Jharkhand is full of raw materials and it needs only capital and skill. The capital will come automatically due to government’s policy and making youths skilled is your responsibility. He also talked about keeping in mind the environment before going ahead for Make in India.

VC Prof. Gurdeep Singh said that we have tried our best to provide the all facilities to the delegates of the seminar. The seminar will be the mile stone in the history of the university. He has appreciated the delegate approaches in relation to Make in India, E- retailing, social media, skill development and behavioral finance. Pro-VC of the university MP Sinha said that the delegates rendered their valuable views in relation to different topics of technical session. He said that we will send the recommendations to both central and state government.

The president of Indian Commerce Association Jayant Kumar Parida said that we are thankful to the university for organizing such a wonderful seminar. He welcomed the next national president of ICA MK Singh, dean and head of dept. of commerce, VBU.
