Andhra court issues summon to Dhoni

India's cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni points his finger as he shows some areas in the ground to bowlers during a practice session ahead of their first One Day International cricket match against Sri Lanka in HambantotaMahendra Singh Dhoni has been issued summons by the Anantapur District Court of Andhra Pradesh in connection with a case filed against him on charges of hurting Hindu sentiments.

The district court has directed Dhoni to personally appear before it on November 7, while hearing a petition filed by Viswa Hindu Parishad.

In a petition, it is alleged that the Indian captain had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by sporting an attire posing as Lord Vishnu in a magazine.
