Senior leaders of the BJP met Chief Minister Raghubar Das inside his office at Project Bhawan in Ranchi and apprised him of the one percent tax introduced by the state government run Mineral Area Development Authority on annual turn over of products in some police station areas in Dhanbad and Bokaro district.
As it is,MADA has been sick for quite some time.So much so that its staff had been threatening to agitate in protest against the state government not paying them monthly salaries. The Tax was reportedly introduced to make MADA become self relient.
However, the BJP MP PN Singh and MLAs-Raj Sinha and Sanjiv Singh-
told the CM that this move had badly affected the economy of businessmen and industrialists of 11 different types.
In response,Das is learnt to have told them that he will look into their grievance. However,he also told them that inorder to make the State develop and realize the dream of “Sabka Saath,Sabka Vikas”,every citizen has to contribute.
He also reiterated his old statements that the state government, apart from promoting development of agriculture,is working to speed up industrial development and take forward business and commerce as well as skill development to create employment opportunities for the youths.
