cbiThe Central Bureau of Investigation has filed three chargesheets against five former Jharkhand MLAs of different political parties.

The chargesheets have been reportedly filed in the court of special judge, Ranchi (Jharkhand) on the allegations of agreeing to accept and demanding for themselves illegal gratification for casting votes as well as influencing their fellow legislators to cast their vote in favour of the purported candidate of the sting reporter in the Rajya Sabha election held in Jharkhand during June, 2010.

A case was registered by CBI against then six MLA’s of different political parties on the orders of Jharkhand High Court in response to a public interest litigation filed by an NGO, transferring a case earlier registered in State Vigilance Bureau.
