A day after media published the World Bank and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion’s report showing Jharkhand was ranked third in the Assessment of State Implementation of Business Reforms,Chief Minister Raghubar Das announced that on the 15th establishment day of the State on November 15,his government will launch Mobile SMS Wide Area Network(WAN) system.
Incidentally, this system optimization solution can change the way administration work by improving and accelerating application performance across the WAN while significantly reducing the amount of traffic on the network.
Using WAN optimization, Information Technology (IT) can provide LAN-like access to data and applications throughout the enterprise – anytime, anywhere. It’s the only solution to span mobile users, state government offices, data centers, and clouds, allowing a distributed workforce to collaborate in real-time. And it does all this while streamlining operations, improving visibility, and reducing the costs of IT infrastructure.
Today,Das in league with the State IT Department officers, highlighted the significance of Mobile Governance and launched the Mobile Monitoring System linked with Aadhaar based Mid-Day-Meal.
”With this system, vigilance is possible over the food made available in schools under the mid-day-meal,presence of teachers, students, drop out and so on”,said Das.
Das pointed out that through this system, even the parents can be informed about the absence of students on their mobile phones.
”As per the promise made, the online monitoring system is being made operational”,said the CM adding that nearly 70 percent corruption can be contained through IT based services provided the common man uses it and help the government end the role of middlemen.
The CM thanked the IT department for making online 54 public services available to the people.
On this occasion, the State Finance Secretary Amit Khare said that the whole world has recognized the changed work culture in Jharkhand.”Likewise,by using the team work, the day is not far when Jharkhand will figure at the top in the list of developed States”,said Khare.
Jharkhand IT Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal said that between October 15 and November 15,Jharkhand will observe Mobile Goverance month.During this period efforts will be made to bring all Departments into one Platform through the IT Enabled Services,he said.
The occasion was attended among others by the State’s Rural Development Principal Secretary NN Sinha,Principal Secretary(Commercial Tax)Nidhi Khare,Secretary,School Education and Literacy,Aradhana Patnaik,Secretary(Personnel)Rattan Kumar and Secretary(Food Supply) Vinay Kumar Choubey.
