Das Govt.celebrates World Tribal Day

The celebration was marked by tribal dance,music,lectures and lunch hosted by the state welfare department.
The Chief Minister Raghubar Das among his Cabinet colleagues and senior officials including the Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba were present.
All of them attended the celebrations.The tribal communities have unique cultures and traditions. The tribal people were backward educationally and economically as they generally live in the remote hamlets in the forest areas.
The state government has taken up several measures for the welfare of the tribals. “These measures are going to make the difference in their life style”,said Das who also underlined the need to bring awareness among the tribals about the welfare schemes and their rights.
