Dead and minors served notices for communal tension in Ranchi

Dead and minors have been served notices by a court for abetting communal tension in Ranchi.

The SDM court issued notices to 72 people, among them some people who are dead and minors, under Section 107 of the Indian Penal Code.

The residents of Doranda locality of Ranchi have received the notices and were shocked to find that notices were issued even to dead people.

Among the dead, who have been served notices, are Raju alias Haider Ali and Gaddi. Haider, according to his family members, died in 2009 and Gaddi died last year. Three minors have also been served notices.

Sources in the court said the notices issued were on the basis of recommendations from Doranda police station.
