Deoghar DC,SP and two other officers suspended

Taking quick action after ordering an enquiry into the death of 11 devotees of Lord Shiva in an stampede in Deoghar on Monday morning,Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das suspended four senior officers on charges of negligence and neglect. .
Those who were placed under suspension were:Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar,SP P.Murugan,Regional Deputy Director(Health)Shiv Shankar Prasad and Civil Surgeon Diwakar Kamat.
After returning from the site of the incident of stampede in Deoghar,Additional Secretary NN Pandey,who is incharge of the state Home Department addressed mediapersons at Suchna Bhawan in Ranchi.He was accompanied by senior officers including the DGP DK Pandey and CM’s Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar.
Pandey,accompanied by the Additional DGP(Operation)SM Pradhan and Secretary(Rural Work)MR Meena and Director(Health)Sumant Mishra,who conducted an enquiry this afternoon,said,”We have found some evidences suggesting the lapse committed by them”,said Pandey.
