Get youths trained at grassroots,CS directs JSDM Director

Reviewing the skill development programme being run in the State,Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Tuesday directed the concerned officers to coordinate with different departments & speed up the programme.
Gauba said that only workshop conduction will not benefit the people.Instead the state government has to work at the grass root level.
The CS said that the enlisted institutions have to be reviewed in terms of basic infrastructure & faculties. He directed the officers to coordinate with those departments which have not submitted the data related with developmental programme and submit the report within 10 days.
The CS said that skill development program is important from employment generation point of view. “The Prime Minister & the Chief Minister have been monitoring it. Hence, negligence on any level is intolerable”, he said.
He mentioned that the state needs to develop institutional mechanism to trigger all types of training. Regarding skill development programme run by RDD, the CS said that the area covered under this department is wide & rural level programs should be sped up.
It should be noted that the State Govt. has signed an MOU with NSDC. Moreover, a good number of skill development institutions have been registered with the state.
The Principal Secretary,Labour, Employment & Training Department Mridula Sinha said that the skill development program should be incorporated in the line of Uttarpradesh.
She informed that 18 departments are running skill development program in the state & data collection is hindered. She said that the concerned departments will be coordinated soon & data will collected.
J.S.D.M. Director Mr. R. P. Singh, Labour Commissioner Praveen Toppo, Siddharth Kankaria from D.F.I.D. & many other officers were present in the meeting.
