Governor pays tributes to tribal freedom fighter Veer Budhu Bhagat

Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu on Monday took part in the ‘Azadi 70-Yaad Karo Kurbani’ (Freedom Fortnight)programme of the Union government and paid tributes to well known tribal freedom fighter Veer Budhu Bhagat at his home village Seeragoi.

In fact,Veera Budhu Bhagat had fought against the British rule during 1850-1900.”He had exceptional capability to organise and lead the people”,said
Governor Murmu.

The week- long nation- wide programme of the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Azadi 70-Yaad Karo Kurbani’ aims to re-instill the spirit of freedom struggle and national movement among younger generation.

And as such Union Human Resource Development has taken initiative to organise the programme in all government run schools,colleges,universities and so on.Jharkhand Governor participated in the programme on Veer Budhu Bhagat at Seeragoi in the boarder areas on Ranchi-Lohardaga in Jharkhand.
