Indradhanush immunisation campaign launched in Jharkhand

IMG_1683The second phase of the Union Ministry of Health’s Mission Indradhanush immunisation programme was launched in Jharkhand today.

It was launched by Jharkhand Principal Secretary K.Vidyasagar at sadar Hospital in Ranchi.The immunisation campaign meant for the children is scheduled to be held across the State from October 7 to 15.

Vidyasagar said children below the age of five would be covered through the programme.

The second phase was being simultaneously launched in across India Vidya sagar said the aim of Mission Indradhanush was to expand immunisation coverage to all children across India by 2020.

The target was to immunise all children against seven vaccine-preventable diseases namely diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, childhood tuberculosis, polio, hepatitis B, and measles.
