Kids perform Dandiya to mark Navratri festival

Students of the popular Sherwood(N)School in Ranchi today performed Dandiya dance to mark the festival of Navratri.

As it is,Navratri comes with a festival of nine days filled with fun, frolic and joy all around. It is one of the most vivacious festivals celebrated across the country including Ranchi in Jharkhand.

In view of the fact that Navratri not only symbolises the victory of good over evil (Goddess Durga’s victory over Mahishasur) but also represents the spirit of Indian culture in its togetherness,students of Sherwood celebrated the festival by offering prayers to the Goddess and performing Dandiya in colourful dresses.

Sherwood (N) School-4Some of them sing folk song and indulge in other fun activities like- playing Garba and Dandiya.
