Like Pre Smart City Project, LED Bill board comes up in Ranchi,Jamshedpur

LED-6After the Centre announced to launch the much-publicised Smart Cities project on August 24,Ranchi figured in 100 cities to be included in the project in a phased manner.

Now,prior to the launch of the project,Jharkhand Information and Public Relations Department has taken the lead by putting up LED bill board inside Suchna Bhawan complex in Ranchi displaying development schemes undertakan by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

The LED bill board was used to deliver advertising and informational messages to people who are passing by the four lane road near the CM official residence.In fact,unlike LCD monitors used on laptops and smartphones, digital billboard uses clusters of highly efficient, very bright light emitting diodes (LEDs) to display full-color imagery.

“Depending on regulatory and technical considerations, this content may be a series of static slides, a broadcast-quality video or animation sequence, or a combination of both.It is very attractive and looks highly entertaining to the viewers”,said Parmak Singh,a teacher who stood near the LED bill board and watched it display the pro BJP government advertisement.

IPRD Director AK Pandey,who is the brain behind the move told that five LED bill boards were already put up in different parts of the State including Jamshedpur.”We are planning to put up more LED bill boards in different parts of the State to enable the people have direct view of the state government’s development projects”,said Pandey.

More,to seek the citizen’s views and suggestions for building the smart city in Ranchi,Ranchi Municipal Corporation has come up with a separate bill board near the same Suchna Bhawan.”A number of people have already mailed their views and suggestions”,said a RMC officer echoing a sense of joy on his face.
