Modern police stations for women coming up,says the CM

Every district is going to have a modern and efficient police station for women,said Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
“The state government is sensitive to issues of women’s progress and empowerment”,pointed out the CM.
In view of its commitment,a decision has been taken to set up a modern and efficient police station for women where cases related with them,their families and children will be dealt with.
These police stations are going to be operated by women police personnel so that their counter parts can register the FIRs without any problem,said the CM while holding a meeting with senior officials on the issue of modernisation of the police and police reforms at the Project Bhawan in Ranchi today.
“The police officers should have a sense of duty and social responsibility so that the common man can communicate with them without any sense of fear”,said Das adding that they should also give importance to keep every police stations clean and effective.
In the first stage,16 women police stations in Ranchi and 17 police stations in Jamshedpur will be created, in addition to strengthening important police stations in Dhanbad.
“The clean police stations will be awarded”,said the CM directing the senior police officers including the DGP DK Pandey and Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba who attended the meeting to sell the seized vehicles kept in every police station in Jharkhand.
In the meeting,the state Home Department put up video show on the police modernisation in Jharkhand.
