Official formalities ‘On-Lined’ to attract investment,says Jharkhand CS

Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajeev Gauba today observed that awareness program should be run about the privileges given by the Govt. to common people in order to implement ‘Make In India’ program in the state.
Gauba said that C.I.I.(Confederation of Indian Industries) & Industry Department should coordinate & run the awareness program. He was addressing a workshop on ‘Make In India: Jharkhand’ conducted by C.I.I. & D.I.P.P. at Chanakya B.N. R. hotel.
The Chief Secretary said that improvement is a continuous process; everyday one has to work on various problems. He said :”We will have to change our mindset if we want a change to be brought about. The Govt. has activated single window system to benefit Industry & Commerce Department. The Govt. is ready to play the role of a facilitator”,he said.
He said that single window system is such a platform where Industrialists will be provided different types of licenses & NOC’s online in stipulated time frame.Also he pointed out that it is a matter of great happiness that the population of youths is maximum in the world.
“We should endeavor to provide the youths employment & employment oriented education. Addressing the Industrialists he said that maximum employment should be generated for the youths so that ‘Ease of Doing Business’ can be realized. It will not only improve the GDP of the Nation but also generate maximum employment for the youths”,he said.
The Chief Secretary said that many legal aspects are to be met to establish an industry. Hence the Govt. has on-lined many official formalities to attract capital investment & comfort the investors.
The Govt. is establishing Land Bank so that people can get land to establish Industries soon.Gauba said that 58 Industries have been enlisted in Jharkhand which need not take NOC’s from the Pollution Control Board.”At the same time , most of the 285 points of D.I.T.P have been worked upon”,he added.
Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industrial Policy, Promotion cum Commerce & Industry, Rajeev Agrawal presented ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and the role of Jharkhand in ‘Make In India’ program. He said that 40% of the total mineral of the country is in Jharkhand which gives strength to labour.
Agrawal said that if local people are trained, they will play an important role in realizing the goal of the ‘Make In India’ program.
Giving presentation on single window system working in the state Industry Secretary Himani Pandey said that rules have been made flexible on many levels to establish industries in the State.
She said that Industrialists can apply online & they won’t have to roam around the offices of Labour Department, Urban Development Department, Pollution Department & Forest & Environment Department.
In addition,even approval to plans to set up industry,is supposed to be given online.This process is planned to be communicated to investors through SMS & e- mail.
The officers answered the questions of the Industrialists.The welcome speech was delivered by Managing Director, C.I.I. Jharkhand State Council & vote of thanks was delivered by Vice President, C.I.I. Jharkhand State Council.
