The Jharkhand High Court today gave direction to issue notices to the Censor Board and others on a petition seeking immediate ban on the film ‘MSG 2: The Messenger’ claiming its dialogues hurt the feelings of tribal communities.
After hearing tribal activist Raimul Bandra, a Division Bench of Chief Justice Virendra Singh and Justice P P Bhatt gave direction to serve notices to the Central Board of Film Certification, the Centre, the production house, the Director of Tribal Research and other parties.
The court will hear the case on September 21.
As the film “hurt” the feelings of tribals and Jharkhand people, it should be banned immediately, the petitoner submitted.
