Election banners and posters were today removed from the premises of Patna Airport. Yesterday the grand alliance petitioned the Election Commission for removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah’s posters on the ground that they were “flagrant violation of norms”.

“All election banners and posters have been removed from the premises,” Deputy General Manager, Patna Airport N K Chaudhary said. He said the action was taken in accordance to the rules.

However, the Bihar Election Office said it would ask the Airport authority as to why rules were not followed earlier.
