Prabhu seeks solution for ticketless travel

In a bid to address the big challenges faced by the Railways, Union Minister Suresh Prabhu today resorted to young minds to find out a fool-proof method to prevent ticketless travel in trains.

While addressing a gathering of students and alumni from IITs and National Law University and London School of Economics, he said there are challenges in Railways which need to be addressed. “But the question is how to do it?” he asked.

He sought innovative ideas with an aim to engage youth for improvement in facilities in the Railways.

He referred to ticketless journey in trains and asked how it could be curbed. He questioned students if they could find a fool-proof solution to it.

He asked, “Can we have odourless toilets without using water or ensuring less usage of water because water shortage is a problem and Railways is one of the biggest consumers of water.”
