Ranchi in grip of tension,Section 144 Cr.PC

IMG-20151101-WA0042Tension prevails in Ranchi.The district administration has clamped Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

After recovery of a piece of banned meat from near a Hindu temple in Doranda on Friday evening,a group of people protested.They burnt tyres and shouted pro Hindu slogans.

On Saturday morning,after the newspapers carried the news,hundreds of people gathered outside this temple in Dorands.The VHP supporters again burnt tyres and shouted slogans outside the Daily Market.

banned meatThis prompted the Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar to clamp the Section 144 banning unlawful assembly of people in group.Subsequently,the Chief Minister Raghubar Das moved on the road and sought to appeal to people to maintain law and order.

Right now,the scene indicates that normalcy was returning back in Doranda and Main Road.Elsewhere in the town,the shops open and offices of the private companies were functioning and the traffic was normal.
