RIMS holds First Graduate Ceremony;Governor highlights it

Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday took part in the First Graduate Ceremony of RIMS-Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences.
RIMS,the state government run medical institution based in Ranchi,reflects the ‘advances the state has made in the area of medical science and health care’,said Murmu.
She said that she was there to felicitate the young minds who are graduating through this most nstitute.”It is also the day to pay our heartfelt thanks to the faculty members and parents who have shaped and nurtured the brilliant minds we see assembled here today”,she said.
“In our country as well as in Jharkhand, there is a growing need of medical education to meet out the needs and demands of the ailing people. The need of the hour is to produce professionals who address health not only from the perspective of the individual patient but as part of a team integrated into the larger health system. It has to be the key coordinate on which medical education will advance”,said the Governor.
More,the Governor,said:” Our state needs many more health professionals of different categories to fill the huge short fall in the health workforce. RIMS and similar institutions which are leaders in medical education, have to show the way ahead.”
She urged the faculty members, students and staff of RIMS to see themselves as part of a great enterprise for a change and work together in the larger interest of the institution.”If we manage things for betterment, every program, department and centre of RIMS will have to imbibe a work culture that shuns factionalism and unhealthy competition. At the same time, it should emphasize service orientation, promote creativity and be truly result-oriented”,she observed.
