RIMS,Ranchi gets new Director

RIMSRanchi based Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences today got Dr Shamim Haidar as its Director.His appointment was made by the state government in accordance with the Jharkhand High Court’s directive.

In fact,Dr Kumar has been facing criticism for not carrying qualification to hold the post of Director,RIMS.The Jharkhand High Court had held an identical opinion.

Dr Haidar has succeeded Dr Satendra Kumar Choudhary who will hold additional charge of Dean as well.Dr Kumar will hold the charge of Medicine.

As it is,RIMS,Ranchi was established in 2002 by upgrading the then RMCH, a much needed multi-specialty referral hospital. Presently with a capacity of 991 beds, (being upgraded to 1500) RIMS offers its patients services of highly qualified doctors and trained Para medical staff.
