The medical facilities in rural areas of Saraikela appears to be depended on quacks.

The area with a population of 12 lakh reportedly has 56 government doctors and 40 private doctors, while there are 291 quacks.

The strength of quacks shows government’s failure in providing good medical facilities in the area.

Following the orders from the State Human Rights Commission the health department has decided to tighten noose around these doctors.
