South Indian Brahmins to observe Upkarma-2015 in Ranchi

A community ‘Upakarma-2015’ (annual changing of the holy thread) on AANIVATAM Day falling on the August 29 is going to be observed by Ranchi based South Indian Brahmin Community from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

“The religious ceremony under the guidance of renowned priests will take place at Tapovan Mandir- Sri Ram Temple, near Overbridge, Main Road, Ranchi between 8.30 am to 1.00 pm on Saturday, the 29th of Aug 2015”,said a statement released by the Community represented by S.Subramaniam.

“Interested persons from the Brahmin Community hailing from South India and following the annual Yajur Upakarma annual are cordially invited to attend the ceremony. They may kindly contact:-S Subramaniam at 9934176636 for further details”,said the statement.
