The PM Modi is slated to conclude the Union Government programme-Gramuday Se Bharat Uday and launch online the NTPC’s 800 MW Thermal Power Plant in Patratu inside JRD Tata Sports Complex,Jamshedpur on April 24.

Inside, the state Rural Dervelopment Department, inaddition to Panchahat Raj insitutions-are learnt to be busy mobilising Panchayat representatives to attend the PM’s meeting.Even the district administration is leaving no stone unturned to make the event historic.

Outside, even Jharkhand Tourism Department is set to register its presence by setting up up a stall exhibiting publicity documents and CDs related to Jharkhand Tourism.

This has raised eye brows of many critics.”Panchahayat representatives will attend the PM’s function from different rural villages. They are not tourists.Yet,they will be handed over tourism literature”,said a school teacher questioning the Jharkhand Tourism Department’s move.
