Two Jharkhand cadre IPS officers fail to clear tests

In all,two IPS officers are in the news in Jharkhand.Reason?

Both of them who were female had failed to gain confirmation from the National Police Academy(NPA),Hyderabad.One is Kusum Punia,who is 2010 batch IPS officer,is SP Jamtara district.

As per the service guideline,she had to pass the swimming test to get confirmed by the NPA during her training period.

However,she is yet to be declared successful in the swimming test,reveals the Union Home Department communication via NPA’s letter to the Police Headquarter in Ranchi and admitted by the spokesperson of the police SN Pradhan.

Reports indicate that the Police Headquarter has requested Union Home Ministry to provide time to her to clear the test.The response was awaited.

Another IPS officer Jaya Roy who is City SP,Ranchi,Pradhan admits that his service was not confirmed becauses she had also not cleared physical test.

As a result,report claims that NPA has asked her to appear for the test again..
