Unseasonal rain,storm,hail cool Ranchi,damage crops

Mangra Oraon is devastated.His farm carrying 20 and 10 trees of mango and litchi respectively looks green.But the flowers of these trees are missing after the storm and rain followed by hail lashed many parts of Jharkhand on Friday.
“This time,we will not have mangos and litchis to sale”,cribs Oraon.
Oraon is among hundreds of farmers who had suffered extensively due to this unseasonal rains and storm during the past three days.’In my life I had not seen rains and storm on the day of the Ramnavmi”,Krishna Mahto,a farmer based at Tamar told JharkhandStateNews.com.
“Farms,streets and roofs were covered by a layer of hail”,said a report front paged by Sanmarg,a Hindi daily published from Ranchi.Hazaribagh,Lohardaga,Gumla,Ranchi and its rural areas falling under Kanke,Pithoria,Kamre,Ratu,Kanthitanr and Manatu villages witnessed rain,storm and hail.
“The size of hail was as big as big buttons”,said Mahto.
Agriculture scientists Dr KK Jha said,the hail had also damaged the vegetable crops of lady finger,tomato,beans,chillies and couliflowers.
The weather department said these parts of Jharkhand may witness another spell of rain during the next 24 hours.”The sky will remain clouded for a day or two”,he predicts.
However,this has brought relief from heat in this peak of summer as the temperature has dipped from 39 degree celsius on Thursday to 33 degree Celsius on Saturday in Ranchi.
