The war of words between the Heavy Engineering Corporation(HEC) and the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) took a turn today when the former threatend the latter saying vacate its land by August 4 or face eviction.
“If the land was not vacated by August 4,appropriate action will be initiated to get it vacated”,said HEC’s media incharge HK Gupta in a press conference.
In fact,JSCA had built to run and manage “International Cricket Stadium” on its land leased to it.Earlier, the HEC,a public sector unit, had accused the JSCA of ‘violation of terms of lease agreement’ and asked the latter to vacate the premises on which the JSCA International Stadium was founded in 2008.
On behalf of HEC,Gupta had served a notice of termination of the lease agreement, citing as many as 10 points of violation of terms of agreement. Copies of the above letter were sent to President of Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI), the Jharkhand Governor and Chief Minister’s office,Chief Secretary, and the Director General of Police among other officials in the administration.
JSCA President Amitabh Choudhary had rejected HEC’s allegations and claimed that none of the term and condition mentioned in the lease agreement was violated.
