Aamir is rocking yet again.His role as Police Inspector in suspense-thriller had hit the box office fetching an estimated sum of Rs 48.99 crore in the opening weekend.

Talaash,directed by Reema Kagti,features Aamir, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor.This film was produced at a cost of Rs.40 crore.Even its rights to distribute and show it on screens were sold for Rs.40 crore.

Reports said that the film had opened with a bang and had made a neat Rs.14.52 crore (Friday), Rs.16.37 crore (Saturday) and Rs.18.1 crore (Sunday).

ANI report quoting Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines, Mumbai, said the response from among the audience is ‘good’.”It is attracting more of a class audience.”
