iB Hubs, a PAN India Startup Hub, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of IT, Government of Jharkhand .

This MoU signed on Sunday  is aimed at developing the entrepreneurship culture among the youth of Jharkhand and at building a skilled workforce in advanced technologies such as Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality and Data Analytics in the state.

Sarvesh Singhal, Special Secretary Department and Shri Umesh Prasad Shah, Director -  Department of IT represented the government and signed the MoU.

Under the MoU, iB Hubs plans to  set up 5 hubs across Jharkhand with the state hub in Ranchi to provide end-to-end assistance to startups.

Speaking at the event,  Sarvesh Singhal said

“The Government of Jharkhand is committed to build a strong innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state. Through this MoU, we are welcoming young and energetic team of iB Hubs to Jharkhand to set up Incubation Centres across the state to provide world-class support to all the entrepreneurs, thereby transforming Jharkhand into an Innovation Powerhouse.”

Speaking at the event,  Umesh Prasad Shah said

“With the iB Hubs Incubation centres that will be coming across Jharkhand, young and innovative entrepreneurs in the state can become job creators transforming the state into a Land of greater opportunities. This is an open invitation to all the youth of Jharkhand to Ideate, Innovate and build sustainable businesses.”

Explaining iB Hubs’ vision for Jharkhand  Radha Alekhya, CEO of iB Hubs, said, “ We are strongly committed to nurturing the culture of entrepreneurship in Jharkhand. The youth of the state has a lot of potential; to make Jharkhand an innovation hub, we would set up 5 hubs across the state and provide end-to-end assistance to startups. The Government of Jharkhand has been very proactive in bringing this initiative to the state and we are looking forward to working together.”

At iB Hubs, a team of 200 youngsters are committed to transforming India from a land of potential to a land of opportunity. Majority of these youngsters are alumni of premier institutes in India such as IITs, IIMs,ISB and NITs and corporate alumni from major MNCs.

iB Hubs envisions to set up 500 hubs with 4 spokes each making it 2500 centers across India by 2019. iB Hubs has already set up 30 hubs across 7 states of India with nodal centers in five major cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Lucknow, and Hyderabad.
