Ahead of elections in 2014,it is raining laptops, tablets in Jharkhand.Last year,BJP leader and the then Chief Minister Arjun Munda had promised laptops to students of the state government run schools. After his government fell and the president’s Rule was imposed on January 18,Munda’s lap top scheme was abandoned by the government.

However,as the elections come near, two allies-BJP and All Jharkhand Students Union –are at it.On September 2,AJSU president and former Dy CM Sudesh Mahato handed over 84 tablets/laptops to students in his constituency-Silli.

Among these students were 84 students. Most of them were toppers of their respective schools.

Today,BJP leaders honoured eight students by handing them over with a Tablet each in Chaibasa, headquarter town of West Singhbhum district.

A notable feature of this gifted tablet is that the BJP’s election symbol –Lotus-pops out on the screen seconds after it is switched on.

“Forget politics. This is going to help my son keep in touch with the fast changing world”,said Ranjit Hansda, father of Ashok hansda,a Class X student who had got the Tablet.
