Fill up,file applications and run around to get pension after retirement from the state government.These activities are set to be a thing of the past with the Jharkhand government introducing online e-pension scheme with effect from September 1,2017,said Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare.
As it is,pension is a periodic monthly payment made to public servants who have completed their service.The pension rules provide for various kinds of pension based on the nature of retirement,duration of service and mode of retirement under statutory rules.
Khare informed that all those state government personnel who will retire in the forthcoming six months and Drawing and Disbursement Officer of the concerned department will be trained,said Khare.
In remote areas,e-Pension scheme will be connected with Pragya Kendras, he said.Khare today presided over a meeting on online e-pension scheme for the state government personnel.The meeting was attended among others by Principal Accountant General Mausumi Ray.
Incidentally,nearly 6000 state government personnel retire every year.As per the present system,they apply for the pension by submitting applications in hard copies.
