The Jharkhand government has decided to award Deepika Kumari for her contribution in archery.

The government will give a plot of land to her at the Harmu Housing Colony “for her remarkable contribution in the field”, an official statement has said.

Deepika was part of the Indian women’s recurve team that won a silver medal at the just ended World Championships in Copenhagen.

The state government had earlier allotted 4,000 square feet of land to cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
