Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today directed Shantanu Agrahari, Municipal Commissioner of Ranchi Municipal Corporation to ensure that the remuneration of the cleaners working for the corporation should be paid by this evening.
The Chief Minister stopped his car at the Kartik Oraon chowk and talked to the cleaners who have been on agitation for delay in payment of their remuneration. In view of the Durga Puja festival,the cleaners working under RMC are on dharna and have been demanding the payment of their last two months salary. On the spot, the Chief Minister gave direction to the Municipal Commissioner for release of their dues.He also said that such arrangements should be ensured that cleaning workers be paid remuneration for every month on time.
